Instructor

Seongbin HongCEO of CHO, head of education

Seongbin Hong started out founding an exam prep academy and teaching there, then moved into planning course products at Fastcampus and Elice. That path gives a view of every course from both sides, as the one who designs it and the one who teaches it.

As new business team lead at Kmong, Hong grew home service revenue fifteenfold and ran a support program for 1,700 small businesses. The ads, conversion, retention, and leadership covered in class are numbers and people that role was directly accountable for.

Hong holds a Master of Information Science from the Korea Cyber University Graduate School of Convergence Information. Empirical research on the data asset value of listed firms and the AI tools used to build the field service SaaS ilnetta both feed into class.

How an engagement runs

  1. 1

    Pre meeting and diagnosis

We hear from the client and learners, and when useful a pre survey shows in numbers where learners actually get stuck.

  2. 2

    Course design

We design total hours, modules, and outputs for each session around the goal. For an existing course we start by adjusting the curriculum.

  3. 3

    Materials and instructors

We write separate instructor and learner materials ourselves. For multi instructor courses we recruit instructors by area and link their sections.

  4. 4

    Teaching and wrap up

We teach directly, then compile learner outputs and completion results as evidence for the next course.

How we teach

  1. 1

    Practice on real work

Instead of made up cases, learners practice on the product they want to sell, the team they lead, or the service they want to promote. They leave with results they can use right away.

  2. 2

    Plenty of similar cases

Each concept comes with cases we lived through, failures included. Learners map them onto their own situation and find direction. It is the part corporate workshops responded to most.

  3. 3

    Diagnose and check with numbers

Pre surveys and metrics set the starting point, and checklists and self check questions let learners judge their own work.
