A course that helps women returning to work start an online business or work remotely on their own with generative AI. Each trainee chose a product or service they really wanted to sell, and we built that business together over 240 hours.

How we planned it

  1. 1

From short classes to a full course

The ChatGPT marketing classes in 2024 and 2025 were short courses of 30 hours a year. Meanwhile, center counseling data showed inquiries about solo agencies and freelance platforms up more than threefold over the prior year. To meet that demand we planned a 240 hour course that takes trainees to the point of taking paid work right after completion.

  2. 2

    Why a solo agency

We validated the occupation with 32 sources. While 84.6 percent of small businesses said they needed digital transformation, only 30.6 percent were acting on it, and the shutdown of the free Naver modoo site builder created sudden demand for small business websites. Set against 33,000 career break women in Gwangju and real platform service rates, a solo agency delivering AI powered marketing, web building, and content explained both the demand and the income.

  3. 3

A sellable service first, operating tools later

The 240 hours split into two parts. Part 1, 160 hours, covers starting a solo agency: business model, content, SEO, and websites, two weeks each, so trainees build a service they can sell. Part 2, 80 hours, covers remote work tools and automation: collaboration tools, data, automation, and portfolio, one week each, to run that service alone.

  4. 4

Each trainee picks a business in the first two weeks

In week one trainees analyzed existing solo agency models, designed their own, and had it evaluated. In week two they developed their own business idea, and every exercise after that used it as the topic. The 36 hours of field practice were not bunched together but placed at the end of each module as portfolio sessions.

  5. 5

    Instructors recruited section by section

We taught 180 hours ourselves and recruited instructors for the sections that needed specialists: a former designer for product pages, a former developer for development labs, and experts for job skills and career talks. After launch the plan kept changing with progress, for example replacing a keyword research lab with AI video training.

What we did

  • Building on ChatGPT marketing classes in 2024 and 2025, proposed two new curricula, wrote the demand research and proposal, and won the 2026 course.
  • Planned all 240 hours as eight modules with a daily plan.
  • Recruited instructors by area and assigned sections such as product page design to specialists.
  • Taught 180 hours as lead instructor, covering AI business, content, SEO, data, and automation.
  • Reviewed each trainee resume and cover letter one on one.

How we taught

  • Split into 64 hours of theory, 140 hours of practice, and 36 hours of portfolio work, so most of the time went into making things.
  • Every exercise used the trainee own business, so the same class produced different results for each person.
  • Built practice data for orders, customers, products, and Naver, Meta, and Google ad results, and had trainees join orders to ad results with IMPORTRANGE and XLOOKUP.
  • Logged each trainee generative AI usage by date and followed up with those who were practicing less.
  • Adjusted the schedule to progress, for example replacing a keyword research lab with AI video training.
